Chapter 31

After work on Tuesday, Nick and Aria took a city drive as they planned. Nick drove her in his new car, and they drove to a field filled with lawn grasses and sat there to watch the sunset.

“Do you like it here?” Nick asked as they sat down together.

“Yeah, the view is lovely, and the fresh air. I love nature. I normally take evening walks whenever I’m not busy just to stretch out, clear my head, and breathe in life.”

“Hmm, that sounds romantic,” Nick said.

“I think so,” Aria replied.

“So, Aria, are you in a relationship?”

“No. I haven’t been in a relationship for two years now.”

“Why, if I may ask?”

“It’s a long story. My boyfriend broke up with me, and I didn’t want to go into any relationship with anybody.”
