When Aria got home after Nick dropped him off at her gate the day they met at V&G, she told her mom and Mrs. Kate that she just got herself a new job. They were all happy for her and asked her what happened. She narrated everything to them, and even James, who didn’t understand the context of the discussion, shared in their joy because he knew that Aria’s win was his win as well.

“So you are now a secretary to the guy you once loathed,” Mrs. Kate said, trying to tease Aria.

“That’s what it is. Who could have believed it? It never crossed my mind at all.”

“Is he saying anything about you guys dating, you know, stuff like that?” Mrs. Kate asked.

“Well, not directly or not yet. We just went out on our first date, sort of, so I will give it time. But I’m hopeful,” Aria said.

“I’m happy and proud of you. Your mother is happy too. You see, everything will work out fine,” Mrs. Kate said.
