Chapter 40. In Wales

Kate's POV

5 days later...

When the day was set for me to leave for Wales, I was somehow nervous, but my mother cleared it away. She had given me some money I never expected, saying, “Take this money, it’s yours. You gave it to me when I was at the hospital.” She put it in my bag. “Call the number immediately you reach there.”

“Mom, I have enough, at least for days’ accommodation,” I said, placing the money on the table, picked my luggage, and set out.

I got to the airport within an hour. I went solely. Cassandra was around and had not left for school. She was taking care of my mother, so I didn’t need to disturb her so much.

I sat idle and kept my mouth shut on the plane as I kept thinking about what to do when I reached there. Besides, no one was coming to meet me.
