Lucas’s POV

I did not know that Giselle had returned to the Philippines. She wants me to have this day, my birthday, to celebrate with her. I was still doing a lot in the office when he texted. And she wants me to meet her at SB near my company location.

At first, I hesitated. I promised my son that I would dedicate our birthday to him. I made a promise—a promise that I don't want to keep. I don't know if I want to disappoint my son.

"Let's just take a moment, babe, please? Just this day. I just want to congratulate you. I want to fix it, Lucas. Please, I'll be back. If you're really busy with something else. Fine, but it's really just for a moment," she insisted on her phone calls.

I sigh.  "Okay, after an hour." "I am really busy."
