Chapter 21
Lucas's POV
The next day after my birthday, I went home. I found Zara in the kitchen. I saw her wearing a blank expression as she looked at me. And to be honest, it is freaking terrifying.
"H-Hi," I stuttered to him. I want to smack my head for how lame what I said was, and yet she never responded. She didn't utter a single word.
She acted like I was just an invisible entity and treated me like air. And it stings a lot, for real.
Why do I still feel like I'm at fault? Aren't they happier even without me yesterday? Why does she make me feel like I am the fucking villain again? I can't understand her; I want to decipher her, but she is wearing nothing but a blank canvas.
"Divorce papers?" I turned to him when he mentioned these documents without emotion.
