Scarlett's POV

"Finally, I'm free!" I said as I opened the door to the hallway. This is my first time coming in. That's why I feel like I can't handle it all.

"Scarlett! How on earth could you run like that? Mark told himself, "Since this is your first time meeting your family, please be firm and proper." He's been locked up for 18 years, but now he's free.

"Butler Mark, you know that I've always wanted to see the outside. So you can't blame me if I forget what you taught me about how to act.I thought about things as I looked at the art on the wall.

"I understand, since we're both feeling the same right now," Mark said with a smile.

"Are they my blood relatives, Butler Mark?" I asked while taking a look at the pictures on the wall.

"Yes, they're your family, but don't expect too much from them. Since you already know you are different from them, they are not as friendly as you are.Mark said more.

"Okay, that's fine. I'm happy to see them and get out of my room. Could you tell me where my dad is in these pictures?" When I turned to Butler Mark, I asked him what was going on.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but your father's picture isn't here," Mark says with regret as he touches my shoulder.

"It's a shame, but let's keep our hopes up. I told Butler Mark with a sympathetic smile, "I'm sure we'll find a picture of my dad somewhere in the castle."

"Don't forget that the dining room is past this door... You can't talk about your father, and you can't be questioned or talk if you're not being asked or told something.Mark said this was true as he put his hand on my shoulder.

Butler The way Mark looked scared made me laugh. I can't blame him because he has seen my problems since I was a child.

Mark said, "Good luck," as I walked in the door.

I feel like I'm in a different world when I walk into the dining room. The room is much more luxurious than the one I grew up in.

So this is how the palace should look, this is my dad's house... I yelled to myself as I walked toward the red carpet. It takes you to a nicer part of the room.

I thought I would see a scene full of laughter and life, but I saw the opposite. People in the dining room were boring because they were standing up straight on the comfortable seats.

On my 18th birthday, why are they all wearing black? What's going on here? Mark, the butler, is like them, except that he wears bright clothes. I grumble to myself as I walk toward the table.

Elizabeth said, "Our debutante has finally arrived," but she didn't even look at me. She paid more attention to the red wine in her glass.

"Everyone, good evening. "I'm so happy to finally meet my family!" I told them with a smile. Only Lord Marcos, who is my father's brother, his wife Elizabeth, and their daughter Esmeralda are people I know at the table.

Lord Marcos, who sits in the middle, told the three men at the table, "I'd like to introduce you all to Scarlett."

Elizabeth told Scarlett in a cold voice, "You can sit at the other end of the table."

Do I smell terrible or look awful? Why do they look at me that way? I wondered as I sat at the opposite end of the table from them, just a few inches away.

"Scarlett, it was great to meet you at last. My mother wasn't lying when she said you had Vladimir's eye. "Esmeralda said something and smiled at me.

"Really? Tell me that, Butler Mark, but I don't believe him. I don't think anyone will come up to me. So, I was surprised when Esmeralda smiled at me.

The three men turned to look at me, but their eyes said something else: desire. I see lust in their eyes, so I stopped grinning and sat up straight.

"My Lord, I think we can work together on your idea," the man next to Lord Marcos said in a serious tone.

"Ha ha ha, then let's all raise a glass to that!" Lord Marcos says something. As he looked at Lady Elizabeth, he gave her a thoughtful nod.

When Elizabeth raises her hand, the slave comes in with the food and sets it all out in front of him.

"It's your 18th birthday, so we made you special dishes," Elizabeth said with a sly smile.

But I can't ignore my thoughts any longer because I'm too busy. I thanked my family and smiled as big as I could.

While I ate, the other people at the table were quietly drinking. When they talk, I can't understand what they're saying.

"Where is Alejandro, by the way? Did he promise to show up at this small get-together?" Someone says something in a low voice. I can tell by the look on his face that he's bored.

"Don't be in a rush. Alejandro is on his way. He told me, "Esmeralda answered right away.

"While we wait for him, maybe we can start having fun," Elizabeth said. When Lord Marcos nodded, Elizabeth made a second move.

I was thinking about what I was going to eat when I heard the word "fun."

I'm thrilled to be 18 years old! I'm having a party with my family today! Mark, the butler, said that the party was the best thing that had ever happened. I yelled in my head as I waited for the next thing to happen.

When the seductive tune filled the room, the bright light went out. Then, one by one, the women and men came. They're naked, and their smiles are as big as their ears.

My excitement and smile have gone, and in their place are horror and shame. My eyes got bigger when I heard the loud music. They went over to the table and danced there, not happy.

"Stop! "Stop, please!" I got out of my chair when I saw blood on the dancers' bodies. I can see that my eyes are getting red. It's the first time I've ever felt this way. Thirsty! I don't know why seeing the blood flow makes me so thirsty.
