Chapter 59. Revelation

“And that ring was hers too?” Anna asked, remembering the box she had picked up from the floor.

  “No. That ring, the dress and everything else I chose for you.”

  Anna stared at him intently.

  “You made me the leader of everyone around you. Why did you do that?”

  “Because you're my wife and you should be treated that way until you're not.”

  “Are we going to get divorced?”

  He stared at her thoughtfully for a while.

  “Is that what you want?”

  “Are you going to give me a million dollars and give me back my freedom after the divorce?”

  His eyes turned dark.

  “Either that, or I'll send you to the green house.”

   Anna leaned back in her chair and took the ring out of the box and slipped it on her finger.

  “I'd rather be your wife.”

  Adam smiled.

  “I can't think of anyone better for the job.”
