Chapter 23. Losing My Mind
For the next couple of days, I secretly investigated the growling sounds I heard a few nights ago. As I asked more people, I started to think I had lost my mind. None of them heard the growling or felt the shaking of the ground.
I dragged myself back to my room, feeling defeated.
'Am I really going crazy, Avi?' I asked.
'You are not, Maia. You want to know what I think?' she said, asking if I wanted to hear her theory.

At this point, I did not care anymore.

'What trauma are you talking about?' I asked, laying down on the bed.
'The trauma that your body endured when you were kidnapped by Uriah and lost your baby,' she said.
