Chapter 23

Uncle Garfield apparently took him to a futuristic-themed building on the outskirts of a lake. The place is deserted, and no humans or supernatural beings are seen living in the area. Only animals typical of lake habitats were seen there.

That was the first impression when Uncle Garfield told him to get out of the car and follow him. None of them tried to break the silence around them.

Well, he didn't hate this silence at all. It was just that there were so many questions flashing through his mind. Uncle Garfield's expression was tense, with his jaw set and repeatedly clicking his tongue throughout the journey. It was as if the man was worried about something serious.

Since he didn't know what to do, he ended up staying silent.
