Chapter 53. A New Lead

DANTE’S POV

I’ve been spying on Adrian’s bodyguard since Adeline, and I decided to make everyone believe I left town, and I can say with confidence that I’ve already mastered his routine. He wakes up early in the morning, goes for a run, and then he hits the gym. After that, he basically follows Adrian around all day until around 10 p.m., when he finally goes back home to his girlfriend.

I’ve noticed that he only goes back home three times a week: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On the other days, he’s with Adrian all twenty-four hours a day. He doesn’t have any kids and he’s been dating this girl he’s with for only three months. She won’t miss him that much after I kill him.

Today’s Friday and the day I kidnap Adrian’s bodyguard, Xavier. All this time not spent with Adeline has sort of helped me advance with my plans. I have to kidnap Xavier at exactly 11 p.m. It’ll take me about an hour to drive him to my place, where I’ll torture him until I g
