Chapter 45. Exhausted

Anna knew what she had to do and that was what she did. She ended the call, not wanting her Dad to be in trouble with her mom. She knew that the guy would find a way to get out of his little predicament. 

She put the phone back in her pocket and glanced at her desk. The paperwork stared right back at her. Just looking at it made her feel so tired. She really did not feel like working today. She just wanted to go home and have a lazy day. 

But she knew that she could not. She had signed a contract, and even her school was being taken care of by Liam and Sue. She did not have the luxury of just going home. 

She walked back to her desk and sat behind it, her heart feeling a bit better but at the same time, she was pissed. She was pissed at Zac. He had lied to her. He had gaslighted her into believing that she was just making things up when the whole time, it was actually the truth. 

She was going to confront him but after work.
