Chapter 78. The View

Zac didn’t know what to say, he swallowed hard and pulled away. His heart was still racing and his throat was tight due to emotions.

He had enjoyed what had just happened. He really had. But he wanted to see if she did. 

Yeah, he knew she was the one who made the move and kissed him but he wanted to see if she was regretting what she had done.

The more he looked at her, the more he was confused and could not decipher her emotions.

He only wished that he still had his powers. Now, he didn’t. He only had them when it came to doing things that involved the contracts he had made to those greedy individuals. Like Victor.

“What are you doing?” Anna asked, watching the guy. She was a bit intrigued but then amused. “You are staring at me so weirdly.” She chuckled. “Did you not enjoy the kiss? Because I know you did, I felt it.”

Zac finally relaxed, releasing a breath that he didn’t even know he was holding. “I’m sorry, I was just a bit nervous.”
