Chapter 77. I Know a Spot

Anna sat in the car and stared out the window as Zac drove them. She had no idea where they were going but at this point, she didn’t really care.

She just wanted a break. She just wanted to be as far away from it all right now as she could. And it seemed as if that was what the guy was doing. 

With each passing moment, they put more distance between them and the firm. Before she knew it, they were out of the city but still in the state.

They were heading somewhere where there weren’t tall buildings or skyscrapers. The houses looked normal and humble.

It almost reminded her of back home.

Then they came to a stop. The engine of the car was killed and Zac looked at her with a soft smile. “Are you ready?” He asked, his voice was soft and comforting.

“Where are we?” Anna asked as she removed her seatbelt, avoiding the question she was asked.
