Chapter 79. Hitching a Ride
“We walk until we find someone to help us. Maybe a car or something. We could hitch a ride.”
“And the car?” Zac asked. “Do we just leave it here?”
Anna didn’t say anything for a few seconds. She just smiled while thinking. Then she replied, “Okay, I will call Liam—”
Zac didn’t even wait for the girl to finish the sentence. “No.”
“We need him. He could help, Zac. It’s his company’s car. It would be best if we reach out to him—if I reach out to him.”
Zac sighed, running his hand through his hair and replied in a short breath. “Fine.”
Anna stared at him for a few seconds before peeling her eyes off him and pulling out her phone. She called Liam and the guy answered almost on the first ring.
“Anna, what’s up?”
“Uh…um, we got our tires stolen.”
“What?” He asked. “I—I don’t get it.”
“We got our tires stolen. We came out of the city for something and left the car parked but when we came back, they were just gone.”
