Chapter 23. Dare the Devil

Anna watched the car drive away as her mind spun. What in the world was going on? She took a few seconds before turning around and walking back to the house.

When she reached Kevin, she stared at him for a few seconds longer than normal. And the longer she stared at him, the more he resembled Armano.

“Who was that guy you were talking to?” he asked her.

Anna snapped out of her head and breathed out a sigh. “Um…he was a…he was a friend,” she lied smoothly.

She was not ready to tell anyone what she had learned. At least not until she was sure that Armano was right. Not until she was sure that he was really her half-brother.

But what if that was true? Man, then that would rain a whole new world of secrets down.
