Chapter 74. No More Demon King?

“I didn’t expect to see him here either,” Anna said, trying to keep her voice casual. “He must have transferred or something.” She was proud of herself for being able to find a quick story to cover up the fact that she had just mentioned the demon king to Carlos.

Carlos nodded slowly, still looking a bit puzzled. “Small world, I guess.” He chuckled weakly once more while shrugging. But he had some suspicions that had his mind trying to come up with explanations.

“Yeah, small world,” Anna echoed, forcing a smile. “Listen, I need to go find him and see what’s going on. Can we catch up later?” She knew that she could not be with the guy for too long because of Zac’s rule, and also, she did not want to stay longer, knowing that her stomach had already started doing that butterfly thing.

Carlos’s eyes searched hers for a moment before he nodded. “Of course. I’m staying in Dorm B, room 213. Come by anytime.” He smiled softly.

“Um… okay, thanks, Carlos,” Anna replie
