Chapter 77. No Mercy
Anna woke up with a throbbing pain in her head. It was an annoying one that just would not go away. Her vision blurred, and her surroundings were unfamiliar.
She was in a dimly lit room, the only source of light a flickering bulb hanging from the ceiling. The walls were bare, concrete, and cold, and the air smelled damp and musty. She tried to move, but her hands were tied behind her back, and her ankles were bound together.
Panic set in as she remembered Armano and the gun. She struggled against the ropes, but they were tight and unforgiving. They were so tight that she could literally feel her wrists bruising up already.
Her heart pounded in her chest, and she took deep breaths, trying to calm herself and think clearly. This was the only way she was going to get out of this alive, that is, if she was going to get out.
A door creaked open, and Anna turned her head to see Armano entering the room, followed by Vito. Her half-brother had a smug look on his face
