Chapter 72. Wedded Bliss

Amelia’s POV 

I watched as my husband slowly approached me while I sat on the bed, eagerly waiting for him. My whole body was on fire, and I knew it was the same for him as well. His eyes flashed with excitement as he followed me to the bed. 

“Amy!” he breathed, his tone soft, calling my name almost like an endearment. He pinned me to the bed with his arm around me while his hand tenderly touched my cheek, stroking them with the back of his hand. I stared at him, mesmerized, unable to utter a single word. 

“I’m so glad that we could make it through. Our dreams have come true, baby doll,” he whispered. I could feel the contentment in his tone and I wrapped my arms around his neck, breathing him in.

“Me too, Jay. I never thought that I’d ever see this day. Thank you for pursuing me and thank you for making it happen. I love you,” I said. He dipped his face and kissed me lingeringly as if I was precious to him. I knew I was. The kiss was gentle ye
