Chapter 14. Nervous to Meet His Family

Azura’s POV 

His behavior had me confused and extremely nervous. I didn’t know what to wear to such get-togethers, and neither did I possess anything proper to wear. A thousand questions crossed my mind. What was I to Adrian? How would I introduce myself to his family? How could I say, ‘Hello, I’m his cook’?

I returned from my duty at the hotel and was brought home by Adrian’s chauffeur, Bob Webster, a kind, middle-aged man with a friendly smile plastered on his face. Since I didn’t need to cook dinner, I thought of having a long soaking bath, something which was a luxury for me. So I used the bath and beauty products that Adrian had kept stored in my ensuite and took the best bath of my life. Wearing a pair of denim shorts and a floral top, I sat down and dried my hair. There was a soft knock at the door and Adrian came in with two boxes in his hands.
