Chapter 29. Alone in the Wilderness

Azura’s POV
He took me inside and whispered into my ear, “This is how I will cross the threshold with you after our wedding.” I trembled with yearning at his words, eager to hear more.
“Then I will make love to you just like I am about to now,” he said as he bit my ear tenderly. My whole body was alive hearing his words, and I eagerly waited for him to continue.
“But what about the milk, meat, and grocery items in the car? The wild animals will have a picnic with it,” I said, and he laughed heartily, putting me down slowly.
“Ok, you win. Let’s get them inside,” he said as we went to get the food.
We got the food and stored it away. Adrian already had the cabin cleaned. I prepared a simple dinner of one-pot chicken rice with mushrooms. We enjoyed the meal on the lighted patio looking at the dark, shimmering lake, so still and yet mesmerizing. Adrian told
