Chapter 10. Me and Him

Claire’s POV 

The luxurious house had a contemporary look, yet was warm and inviting, as much I could see from the lights that illuminated the whole place. Maybe it had something to do with it being Jason’s home. I could go anywhere with him! Jason parked the car in his garage along with his other cars and led me through the grand front door inside the house.

I gasped at the sheer beauty of the place. There was an impressive staircase straight opposite the grand foyer that took my breath away. The large floor-to-ceiling bay windows were kept shut, the dark night sky was all that could be seen through the glass. In fact, it was grander than my parent’s house back in New York!

“Welcome home,” Jason whispered into my ear as he suddenly picked me up bridal style and started towards the staircase. 

“I can walk. What are you doing?” I whispered, looking around to check if there was anyone around.
