Chapter 12. Sparks Fly Between Us

Claire’s POV

We had breakfast at the restaurant on the property. After that, we went to explore the area on a yacht. We checked out the nearby bays and islands, Cathedral Cove, and returned to the resort for lunch.

Jason had a meeting in the afternoon with a client for a mega project that would bring lots of business for his company in the future.

“Don’t leave the property on your own. There are lots of activities to do inside the resort. Explore, but stay inside. I’ll return in 2-3 hours,” he said with a worried look on his face.

“Don’t worry, I won’t go anywhere,” I promised, and he relaxed a little, kissed me on my forehead, and left.

I checked out the swimming pool, then the tennis courts. The spa was a little crowded, so I went to our room and curled up on the couch with a good book.
