Annabelle’s POV

We knocked on Mr. Warner’s door and went in. He was typing away at his laptop with full concentration. He looked up at us and smiled at me. I smiled back, not wanting to look rude. Harry raised an eyebrow, looking from me to him. I didn’t know what I’d done now.

“Here, the schedule is done,” Harry said, handing Mr. Warner the schedule.

“Hmm, so you start at 9 am and get over at 3 pm?” he said, looking up at me. I didn’t know why he was checking my schedule so painstakingly. Did he do with all his employees?

“Yes sir,” I answered, satisfied with my schedule and the timings.

“Thank you, Harry, you can get back to work,” he said, as Harry turned to go with a nod. I was about to leave too with Harry when Mr. Warner’s voice stopped me. “Please stay back, Ms. Carter. “

“Yes sir,” I mumbled, and Harry winked at me discreetly before leaving.
