Chapter 31. His Place

After visiting my parents, things were tense. I don't blame Lorenzo. He was standing up for himself and for me. I just know it means that the relationship I have with my mother is now stretched even more thinly.

It's been two days since we went to my parents. Lorenzo has spent nearly every second of it with me and Luciano. He seems so different, but still amazing.

"Ahm." I glance up, confused. "Lucia is watching him for us."

"What?" Why? I stare at him, confused, and he grins.

"We're going out. So, hand him here. I will go take him to Lucia and then come back and tell you what you're wearing." He smirks at me.

"You're telling me what I'm wearing?" I tilt my head, amused.

"Yes." I watch him take Luciano and leave. I feel like I'm missing something. A few minutes later he walks back in and smiles at me. His hands are behind his back as he steps closer to the bed.
