Chapter 79. Called Back Home

I take a deep breath and run my hand through my hair as I look down at the phone on the coffee table. Why does this have to happen right now? My frustrations roll out of me as I grunt, “Can’t you resolve this right now? You know I’ve got issues here which are a priority for me. I’m sure the same goes for Hunter.”

I glance across the table at my friend. A deep scowl is etched into his face as he nods.

I then turn towards our mates, who both have a similar look and nod.

My father huffs, “I understand that, but the elders are demanding both of you come back with your mates. They are saying it is a good time to not only handle this issue, but also to introduce the new lunas to the packs. I have tried to change their minds, but they refuse to listen. They want you back. Both your mothers had tried to get them to change their minds, too. In the past, the elders would often be like putty in their hands, but not this time. It is almost like something else is go
