Chapter 81. Go Ahead

I walk along the training field and look out across the large group of people, and my mind wonders back to the Jacob and his meeting with his elders. I haven’t talked to him yet, but I’m assuming he had the same conversation as I did. If my assumption is correct, I would also be correct with him not being happy about it either.

My blood boils just thinking about it.

The elders overstepped this time, but I haven’t spoken to my parents about it yet. Maybe Jacob has discussed it with his folks.

I often let things roll off my back, but this isn’t something I’m willing to ignore. If it is this now, what will it be in the future? Not only that, why didn’t the elders have the correct contract on file? My gut is telling me this isn’t a coincidence. Someone has tampered with our files, but why?

My parents know what the original contract says. How did this get so messed up?
