Chapter 61

"What exactly do you want from me? Why are you hellbent on disturbing my peace?" He demanded. He wanted her far away from him. These emotions she was stirring inside of him, he did not want it. He did not want to be a part of it. He knew the consequences of it.

Mia swallowed as she lowered her gaze. "I just want to apologize for my unruly behavior last night," she said as she lifted her head and looked at him.

"I do not need your apology. All I want you to do is stay the hell away from me," he replied as he slowly got riled up and turned around, trying to control his anger as he walked away.

Mia's lips trembled. "Why are you being this way with me? Why are you so cold towards me? What have I done wrong?" Mia asked, her voice choked with hurt with the way he spoke to her.

He turned around sharply. "You have not done anything wrong!" He practically yelled and before he could say anything else, he clenched his hair and let out a growl as he fell to his knees.
