Chapter 69

The next morning, Alex and the gammas over to the river to have it purified, using a special chemical from the pack. 

Mia walked down the stairs and headed to the dining room. She met Karen, James, and Tia seated, but Alex and Hendrix were not there.

"Good morning, everyone," she greeted with a smile.

"Morning, dear," Karen and James chorused.

"Good morning, Mia," Tia greeted.

"How was your night?" Karen asked Mia as she sat down. 

"Very well," she replied, and added in her heart, aside from the fact I could not sleep because I was thinking of Alex, I had a good night.

"Where's Alex?" Mia inquired.

"He has gone for some Alpha duties. Some issues need to be sorted out at the river," James explained.

"Oh, alright," Mia replied and they all began to converse.

After breakfast, Mia met Karen in the living room. She held a newspaper in her hands, reading about the latest gossip of other Lunas from other packs.
