Chapter 47. Day 3: Sins of Our Past (1)

She knew why he had to leave, she just didn’t really want him to, was used to making him stay anyway, even if it was only for a few hours.
So when she slipped into his bed, two hours after he left her guarded room, in the tiniest PJs she owned (he knew, because somehow even sharing a house with her as friends still meant knowing) Aaron wasn’t really all that surprised.
“I suppose I ought to congratulate you on your restraint. Took you a whole two hours to do what I told you not to.”
His voice was chiding, but his hands going around her to take her into his arms meant it was okay, even though it probably would be just like the old days, only a few hours before he had to sneak her out.
“I couldn’t sleep. Just last night, this very place was supposedly unsafe for me and now it’s just okay?”
