Chapter 78. Come Back to Me, Come Back for Me (3)

Sometime later, finally too exhausted to stay up any longer, after checking on Kate’s stitches and helping her clean and dress her wound, Nathan and Kate retired to bed.

“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,” Kate yawned as she slipped into bed.

“That leaves absolutely nothing,” said Nathan, taking an aspirin before getting back into his own bed.

Keira placed herself at the foot of the bed she’d been sharing with Aaron before the episode. She sat crossed legged with the previous day’s newspaper in hand, filling out the crossword puzzle. Aaron sat down next to her, took the pen and newspaper from her and filled out some of the words she still hadn’t gotten. She usually made a huge fuss when he did that. It was why he started doing it in the first place.
