[2019, March 6th. Caines]
“It’s Lady Zoey. She has a gun,” the Captain of The King’s Guard informed the king.
Bart’s blood went cold.
“Do not shoot! No matter what she does, do not shoot!”
The captain hesitated.
“Your Majesty?”
“Do what you have to stop them,” the king said.
“You’re going to get them killed!” Aaron screamed, his eyes panicked.
“This is Lord Bartholomew Arden, ordering you not to shoot! Find another bloody way to stop them!”

Zoey was struggling to steady herself. This was nothing like shooting at the shooting range, but Bart always said she had natural talent. She could do this.
“Zoey, give me the gun!” James commanded.
“You’re hurt and driving! I got it!”
She took her first shot. The bullet bounced off of the car’s hood. She fired two more rounds. They bounced off of the car too.
“Damn it, Zoey! The gun, now!” he said, reaching out for her.
