Shantelle’s POV

Roman being in my life was because I made sure to tell him what I wanted. I wanted no strings. We were supposed to have fun and not bring anything into it.

It didn’t feel that way anymore. Maybe that was why I was looking for the same thing outside Roman. He was bringing emotions into this, and that was not what I wanted. I wanted to be able to enjoy my sexual fantasies without having to think about who I was hurting or who I needed to make amends to.

This was what he was doing to me, and I hated being this way. Seven was going to have to remedy this. I caught him staring at me through his rearview, but I was faster than him; he didn’t know I could see the burning in his eyes when he looked at me.
