Chapter 14
Several weeks ago,
A silent whimper filled the room, followed by tears which were streaming down the floor. Everywhere was dark, except for a single candle, which provided little radiant to the female figure's face. Looking closer, it was Hodesh.
She crossed her legs in a meditative way, and the pain in her eyes was visible. In front of her is a small castle, decorated with light silk and a golden ribbon. It was Alpha Abner's coffin, Hodesh's husband.
Her husband had gone, just like that, killed by the Lamarca beast. She cried more at the thought of that. She had dark power within her, a true vampire by her side, and the electrified councils at her disposal. Yet, none of them stood a chance against those beasts. They are invisible and ruthless.
Her husband is her hope of living. He was her vitality and essence. Without him, she was useless. He's the only one that tells her that not all dark witches are wicke
