Chapter 26. What More?

Marissa jerked her upright and gave her a stinging slap that made her eyes roll back in her head.

Marissa said to her face, "That was an insult to my precious child!

Another slap "That was for laying a hand on me, you bitch!

And another vicious slap that made her face hit the door she was holding on to with a dull thud: "And that, you mannerless idiot, was for causing a scene during my friend's celebration."

Then she dragged her into one of the toilets, locked up the door, and placed one of the "NOT IN USE" signs in front of the main door.

She walked briskly back to the hall, the storm of her anger only showing in her eyes which Bernard noticed and he was amazed that the one thought that came to his mind was " Damn, she is magnificent even when angry." She walked right up to him and said, "Don't let me come across you and your brain-dead girlfriend again or you will have yourself to blame for whatever happens."

She kissed Mrs. Onwurah's cheek
