“That bitch!” I quickly blocked Jillian’s body and pulled her away from there to take a walk around the place.
“Leave Eya alone, she’s just annoying you.” I calmly explained while walking.
A breeze greets us as a few children run down the corridor and greet us each time they pass us.
“This place is way too different from the orphanage where I grew up,” Jillian commented as she felt the fresh air here but I knew she was conveying something else.
“Did they abuse you there?” I asked weakly.
She raised an eyebrow. “I’m the queen there. They treat me so differently there. I’ve had a lot of fights because they say I’m their favorite and give more importance… and I just now found out why.”
“Why?”
Her teeth suddenly gritted. “The devil paid the nuns there to take good care of me and focus on me. That’s because he has a use for me.”
