We left Jillian there, full of complaints and orders for Steven and me. I explained to Sister Nena about her situation but of course with a lie. Jaxsen also hired two bodyguards there, for safety purposes.

I returned home to the mansions of the Howard. No housekeepers are wandering around inside and the lights are dim throughout the house. I looked at the wristwatch. It’s already 11 pm.

I stopped walking to my room when I saw Kameron’s father still in the same position as I saw him the last time I saw him here.

I slowly approached him and quietly sat next to him. He quickly turned to see who was next to him. I saw how he overturned the white thing he was holding.

“You came home…” He said and smiled weakly at me.

I can’t stop looking at his hair. He doesn’t have white hair yet but his wrinkled face doesn’t lie.

My lips pursed. Jillian really needs to see her father.

I beamed at him. “Of course, this is my home.”
