Two days later, the Martinez cousins moved out from Jaxsen’s penthouse. I heard that Reese has returned to Korea already.

I felt like a thorn pulled on my throat when the two left here. When Hale lives in the penthouse, I don’t let the two of us get in the way. I avoided him like he had been ill. Thank God, and Jaxsen overlooked that.

When they left, we went back to our usual routine. Whenever we had free time, we watched variety shows or read popular novels.

Just like today…

Jaxsen made a pillow over my thigh as he typed something on his MacBook while I read a book. That came from an underrated writer. Most of these days, I’d instead read underrated, less popular novels.

While reading, I couldn’t help but play with Jaxsen’s soft hair. I brushed it while reading; it felt good on my hand. I stopped reading when I heard the long sigh of the man on my thigh.
