I realized that while there were times when we clashed a lot and I got cranky, Sebastian was a force unlike any I had ever known. I recognized my mother’s attitudes in his way of being; being frontal and perhaps even cheeky was very much like the Tasarovs. The Zelenskys were wolves of action, and the Valinchenkos were secretive and lethal, or so it was said. It wasn’t hard to understand everything once you knew that; the Tasarovs had a small manipulative streak.
But Sebastian was the finest type of “alpha” I had come across in many years. With a leader like him, who would hesitate to follow him?
