Chapter 100

Duncan was there, his dog’s leash in his hand. It was the closest he had been to me since I had arrived; you could tell that the animal was an Irish setter, a hunting dog with a very pretty appearance. He just stood there, spying on the last remnants of the commotion. He made no move to approach the house, nor did anyone come to see if he needed anything.

I interrupted Rhiannon in her playful game of making faces at Sasha to make her laugh and pointed my nose at our guest. She looked at him briefly.

“Sebastian told me that Duncan has authority problems,” I went to the point, without anesthesia.
