Several aspirins later, I was still just as nervous. I don’t know how my father and my brother managed to snooze for a couple of hours; I couldn’t sleep a wink, much less stop thinking about Johanna and Rex. I had already drained the battery on my phone and Mikhail’s on calls to my “beta,” my mother, and Kaylee McCord. It wouldn’t be long before we landed in Athens to refuel, but by my calculations, we still wouldn’t reach the United States for another eighteen or twenty hours.
