Chapter 145
“Where is Haydar!?” I roared, and another retch cut off my voice, although there was nothing left in my stomach that I could get out, except acid. “Where is he hiding?!”
“I hope he’s taking care of his part and not hiding.” He was very determined to prove that he could get you out of your hole and make you come here, for some reason. “Well, well… he did it. He was right: you would come for the woman,” he growled, and his voice took on a darker, bestial tone as he advanced toward us with lazy steps, brandishing the knife carelessly. “I had to see that: a dog moved by a human woman. You have to admit there’s a sleazy ring to the idea. It’s a shame she ran away before I could stop by and invite her to the party.”
That only infuriated me more; my response was a nervous snapping of my jaws, baring my teeth with my entire snout furrowed. God, the disgusting stench didn’t even let me take a breath, I felt like I was getting sick again. My brother ordered me to leave, in Russian
