Sophia’s POV

I could tell that Mephistopheles loved Ava just by the way his voice changed while talking about her and his aura was calm a bit but back to the main issue.

“That was one hell of a story.” I told him and laughed shortly. He looked at me and nodded briefly. Ava never mentioned any man to me before and not even a powerful demon for that matter.

“So is that why you are here? Did the charm necklace show that she was in danger or something?” I asked him and he brought out the necklace from his shirt and it was so beautiful.

It was crystal blue with little designs in the middle. It shone brightly and anyone could see that it contained some powers. It had a Spanish word on it also but I didn’t know the meaning so I just left it.

“It has been the same way since the day she gave it to me and for some time I thought she gave me something useless.” He said and his chest rumbled. I looked up and saw him laughing. He looked so alive and bright.
