Sophia’s POV
My breath caught. “You… you knew my mother?” I asked, hardly believing my ears.
Her smile deepened, tinged with a faraway sadness. “I did more than know her,” she replied. “Your mother was a woman of principle and would not trade her values for the fame and money that this world offered.”
“I know most of what you’ve just said and it’s why I admire my mom so much,” I said to her, “I want to get to the part where you guys meet each other,” I said.
“Oh, you’re just like your mom in both your looks and your character,” she said with a chuckle, “You know, your mom always did like a good story, just like you seem to do. The only problem was that, just like you are doing now, she would always like to skip straight to the climax of the story,” she said to me, while still smiling in such a way that you could tell that she was reminiscing about the times she spent with my Mom.
