Sophia’s POV

We had obtained the first of three keys which we would need if we were to fulfil our mission to obtain the blood emerald. We searched for clues as to the second gate and where it would be located in the field of Mephistopheles. All our efforts seemed futile as there was no sign anywhere of a second gate, let alone the last of the gates.

“Yom James,” Derek called out to James, “how do you suggest we find the second gate and the last of the three gates for that matter?” he asked James.

“Honestly, I’ve got no idea,” James said, “even the first gate was kind like guesswork,” he added.

“So how do we go about it?” Lucas asked, “we can’t stay here forever,” he said.

“Let me keep looking for more clues,” James said, “there’s bound to be a clue somewhere,” he added.

So we kept looking for clues more and more all around the place. I tried to see if I could cast some revealing spells to unravel any gates hidden by any magical seals. Then
