Lucas’s POV

Those pairs of eyes stared deeply into my soul and I had no choice but to pull away from its hot gaze.

“So sly and cunning,” I cursed angrily.

“Can you please explain yourself sir?” They asked, still armed. I took a deep breath as my thoughts spanned rapidly to think of something.

I don’t really know what that old and common looking stone represents but I have to think of something to get out of this.

I turned to them then took a deep breath. “I am a trader myself. I was coming to the capital to drop some goods for the… people and I was attacked by this things and I don’t even know what they were as it was night and everywhere was so dark that I could barely see clearly,” I lied through gritted teeth as I waited for them to believe my words as I didn’t know what was going on and I was so confused that I didn’t know what to do next.
