Chapter 52

Lucas’s POV

“James?” I called out as I made my way out from there towards the lone figure standing at the vast field.

I turned around and noticed that we were not… even at the mountain.

So where are we exactly?

“I’ve been like this since I got here. Do you know that we aren’t even at the mountain yet? Then why did the vortex take us here?” He said silently and I don’t even know the reply to give to him.

What can I say to him? Should I say that everything happened for a reason?

Who believes that nonsense? We have been trapped in this place for like days only to come out and find out that we haven’t gone far at all.

This was depressing.

I sighed helplessly as I collapsed on the floor completely exhausted. All the hopes I had in me to see Sophia again died down.

“How aren’t we sure that it was the doing of that person?” I suddenly said after much thought and I watched as James turned to me confusion written all over his face.
