Lucas’s POV

Soon it was morning again, a new day a new adventure. I got up quickly as I made my way forward.

James sluggishly got up still wincing in pain. I scoffed at this but still helped him out as he was kind of delaying.

And if I don’t help him. I am clearly indicating that I want us to stay here for long which I don’t plan to do.

“Let’s keep moving. I’ll try and see if there’s any way we can get past here fast,” I muttered and he nodded. Just like that we kept on moving but I did noticed something strange.

Without a second thought I took out my sword as I looked around vigilantly. The chilling and eerie feeling this forest gives was enough to frighten a weak heart but not for me.

“What’s it?” James grunted in pain as he kept limping.

“I don’t want any fight this night. I am tired, and the worse is I don’t even know the person that almost tyranny leg away. Now I have to bare the pain so please whoever you are don’t attack us!” H
