Chapter 44

“Wait.” I called him back softly. His hand left the door knob, he turned to look at me.

“Yes sir?”

“Do you want to perhaps grab a drink with me later today?” I asked him.

“I’m sorry sir but I have an appointment later today. Maybe this weekend?” He replied politely.

“It’s okay.”

He bowed again and left.

I sighed and started going through my mails in my laptop. Lauren is supposed to be doing this but I do not want her to feel burden just yet. It’s her first day at work and I do not intend to over work her.

I would allow her do the ones she can but as time goes on, she would have to do the tedious works.

Even after what happened between us few minutes ago, I can’t help but still be considerate to her.
