Chapter 33. Her Dad's Strange Behavior

The moment Iris entered her house, she saw her dad's solemn face as he waited for her in the reception room. "So where were you, young lady? I've been noticing that you don't return home from college these days," he said sternly. Iris gulped, but she knew it was time to inform him about the internship.

"Dad, I've got a good internship. I joined it yesterday," informed Iris as her dad's eyes went wide with shock.

"Where?" he asked, gritting his teeth.

"At Nick's uncle's hotel, Sinclair Plaza," said Iris.

"What internship are you doing at a hotel? Are you a server there?" he yelled furiously. Iris closed her eyes and took a deep breath to calm herself.

"Dad, I'm working at the finance department of the hotel as an intern," she told him.

"Is Nicholas too there with you? " He asked with suspicion. Iris nodded, but before she could speak, her dad continued.

"I knew it. It's a ploy to get into your pants. I just don't trust t
