Chapter 37. Porty Misunderstands Nick

Ken returned to the house, and everyone left their rooms to ask about his whereabouts. He seemed to be in the seventh heaven of delight, sitting with his hand over his heart and a huge smile on his face.

"Hey, Ken. Where were you, dude?" asked Teresa with interest. 

"Yes, where were you? We were concerned about you," said Samantha. 

"You missed so much," said Martin. 

"No, I didn't. Guess what guys, I found my mermaid," said Ken, looking at their jaw-dropped stares. 

"What? Are you dreaming? Mermaids aren't for real," said Teresa. 

"No. She's not a mermaid, actually. She's a girl. Her name's Cassia Thompson. Her family owns the house next door. They come here to spend a few days every month. She was doing a photo shoot in a mermaid outfit when I saw her," said Ken. The others gaped at him, trying to absorb what he was saying. 

"Oh, I see," said Nick.

"And the good news is that she'll graduate
